Member of the Month: Andrea Bianchi
By WE.FIT
Meet Andrea — our Member of the Month for April!
Andrea is a firm fixture in our community, and we couldn’t be happier to have her. You’ll usually find her in the 9 AM class or in the evenings training alongside her sister Johanna. Since her very first session, Andrea has made incredible progress. She gets stronger, better, and more confident every single day — and that’s what makes us so proud. Her positive attitude, her drive, and her warm personality make every class a little better. She’s the kind of person who lifts the whole room.
Keep going, Andrea — we love seeing you grow!
Let’s get to know Andrea a little better…
1. What originally brought you to WE.FIT, and how has your experience evolved since day one?
Andrea: After a solid ten-year break from sport, it was time to get moving again. A friend had told me a lot about CrossFit — but me actually doing it? I couldn’t imagine it. Being a “mama bear” was comfortable. So my sister and I decided to look for a sport we could do together, and we pushed ourselves to try a trial class at WE.FIT CrossFit. Standing outside the door, I had serious cold feet and wanted to sneak home unnoticed. But Johanna dragged me in… and looking back, it was the best decision I ever made. Thanks, Johanna.
2. What makes WE.FIT special to you, and why do you feel at home here?
Andrea: Thin, curvy, tall, short, or anything in between — nobody gets judged here. Everyone is genuinely welcome. That openness is just amazing.
3. What motivates you to keep showing up to training?
Andrea: I’m not entirely sure myself! But there’s an ambition in me that I never knew existed — and it keeps pushing me forward. And honestly? Sometimes I just celebrate myself for showing up.
4. What’s your favourite food that you can never get enough of?
Andrea: I can’t resist Citterio salami with bread.
5. If you had to describe WE.FIT in three words, what would they be?
Andrea: Sport is fun!
6. Are you team coffee or team tea — or something else entirely?
Andrea: I used to be team gin. These days, it’s team Isostar!
7. What’s your next goal — in sport or in life?
Andrea: Alongside my regular CrossFit sessions, I want to hike up Mount Calanda next. I’m a little nervous about whether my knee will hold up, but I’m going for it.
8. If you could swap lives with anyone for a day, who would it be and why?
Andrea: Someone who isn’t having a great time right now. I’d love to trade places for a day and share my beautiful life with them — sore muscles included!
9. What’s your motto, or a phrase you live by?
Andrea: “He who always does what he already can, will always remain what he already is.” — Henry Ford
10. Tell us something about yourself that we don’t know yet…
Andrea: I have plenty of stories to tell — just like all of you. There have been great experiences and some not-so-great ones too. Over the last few years I’ve learned to listen to myself and do things that are truly good for me. CrossFit pushes my body hard — I love that. But for my soul, I’ve found something completely unexpected: I joined a project choir with a yodelling group! Yes, you read that right — a yodelling choir. I can’t sing particularly well, and I definitely can’t yodel, but it makes me incredibly happy. It’s a one-of-a-kind experience and I wouldn’t give it up for anything.
Thank you so much for this wonderful interview, Andrea!
We’re so glad to have you in our community. Your dedication, your humour, and your warmth make everything better. Keep pushing, keep showing up, and enjoy every moment — in and out of the Box.
